Basketball highlights on youtube

I am very invested in Basketball as a player and as a fan of the NBA, so having access to basically any game or player's highlights for free does me wonders. I can relive amazing moments that I saw live pretty much whenever I want as many times as I want. I can use this footage to study plays and improve my own game when I'm in the gym, and most importantly, it's all compressed into 5-10 minute videos so that I don't have to watch for a very long time to get the content I'm looking for.

I don't really every watch TV or movies at home. It just never really interests me to get invested in a series that i'll have to put multiple hours into. The only time I am ever in front of a TV for multiple hours at a time is when I am watching basketball games, but during the offseason as we are currently in, there are no games to watch at all. That's where highlights come very handy for me so that I can still watch basketball if I want to, but with all the added benefits of being able to choose exactly what I want to watch, and since it isn't live I have full control as to how I watch.

  1. As a fan of European soccer, I also spend a lot of time watching sports highlights on youtube. Due to the time difference, many of the soccer games I want to watch are played during the early morning. Highlights provide me with a quick recap of the games that I wasn't able to watch live. Sports highlights have become such a huge market on Youtube that there are now highlights that follow a singular players performance. I personally enjoy these highlight videos as they provide a more in depth look into a players performance that a viewer wouldn't get from the live broadcast. I definitely agree that highlights have made the sports viewing experience much simpler.

  2. Social media is definitely one of the main places I turn to when I want to watch sport highlights. For me, I also typically watch a lot of European soccer so social media networks such as Youtube or Twitter come up clutch when I just want to see quick clips of goals or big plays. With many people living very busy day to day lifestyles, highlights have become their essential go-to. It's crazy to see how much the concept has exploded. Highlight reels on Youtube can reach millions of views for just 2-3 minute videos. These numbers could sometimes be larger than the actual live viewers that tuned into that game.

  3. Social media in general is a very good place to watch basketball highlights anywhere and at anytime. I normally use Instagram for my basketabll highlights, particularly an account called 'lbjhistory'. Here, the account posts highlight videos of Lebron James' best games, best blocks, best dunks etc and the videos are posted daily. I feel like watching these highlight packs has become a huge part of my day and something I can look forward to. Like you said, highlights are only a few minutes long meaning you are able to get a full games worth of excitement in only 5 minutes.
