Blog Post #1 Adam Schefter Twitter Page - NFL Insider

Post by: Josh DiBellonia

 Hey everyone!

For my first blog post, I've decided to share with you one of my most relied upon twitter pages that I usually find my self checking up on 2-3 times daily. For those of you who do not know who Adam Schefter is, he is an ESPN Senior NFL Insider and is also known as the king of releasing insider information to the general public regarding the league, its players and teams, and affiliates. As an insider, Schefter will have any news story, facts, or rumours regarding the the NFL up on his Twitter feed within a matter of seconds.

Something I find compelling about this specific social media page is how fast he will have important information up and on his feed for the world to see. With over 8 million followers just on twitter alone, a story is usually widely known to the public as soon as he tweets about it. As a fantasy football fan, I rely heavily on his twitter page to get key updates on players and teams that may eventually have a stake in my fantasy team. He is also in my opinion the most reliable source for when it comes to insider information regarding the NFL. There is never any doubt or skepticism about rumours and/or news if it first comes from Adam Schefter's twitter page.

  1. Hi Josh,
Reading your post about this specific NFL insider reminded me of a Twitter page that I visit very often during the NHL (National Hockey League) and AHL (American Hockey League) seasons. Not only do I like to keep up with Chicago Blackhawks news (my favourite NHL team) but I also like to keep up to date with news about their AHL affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs. Charlie Roumeliotis does a fantastic job of doing exactly this. He is a Blackhawks Insider for NBCSChicago (NBC Sports Chicago). Most recently I visited his page to check on how the prospects were doing this past weekend in Minnesota at the Tom Kurvers prospect showcase.

  2. Hey Josh, being in a few fantasy football leagues myself, I also use Schefty's twiter page to verify any injury reports that I hear from other sources. He truly is one of the greatest sports insiders in the business and deserves his large following. I really enjoy following a number of other NFL analysts because I love reading their live tweets over the course of the football games on Sundays. Getting their point of view on each game is something I find very enjoyable. Some of the best analysts and insiders I follow on Twitter for the purpose of these live updates are Dan Orlovsky and Ryan Clark. Being former NFL players themselves, they offer great insight into the game.
