Videos, Music, and Information!
Hello CS371! My name is Abi Youngberg and I have decided to discuss one of my favourite and most useful media platforms, YouTube. This platform allows you to discover all sorts of creators and their content, exploring so far that you may end up upon something completely different than where you began. This is what makes YouTube so intriguing to myself, as I never know what I may end up watching and learning through these videos and audios. Indeed, I always find myself deep in YouTube just after a couple videos. Not only does this give me a nice variation of media, it allows for creativity and imagination to be enabled through curiosity.
I encourage you to explore the app and discover endless possibilities of content!

Hi Abi,
ReplyDeleteI completely agree that YouTube is something that you can get so entrenched in and sometimes you don't even know where the time has gone! Something that I like about YouTube, especially last week and this week is the NHL prospects games that are streamed. This gives everyone a chance to watch these games, no matter where you live. You don't even have to watch these games live as the channels that stream them leave them on YouTube so you can watch them whenever you want. You can even skip things like the intermissions and just watch the game action. Just yesterday I was watching a game between the Philadelphia Flyers prospects and the New York Rangers prospects that was originally streamed Sunday evening. This is an excellent option for anyone who wants to watch the game but is too busy when the game was originally streamed.
Below I have included the link to the Flyers and Rangers prospects game, which is found on the Philadelphia Flyers YouTube page. Yes, this game isn't live, but things like the playback speed are not affected.

Hi Abi,
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree with you that YouTube can be one of the most useful media platforms on the internet right now. This is not only because of its user-friendly platform and ease of use, but the amount of content that is available to everyone. From education, to vlogs, to news highlights, to sports, there is something for everyone, and new videos are constantly being uploaded every minute. I remember learning equations for school from Khan Academy, and watching Crash Course back in highschool to fully understand certain topics (such as history or economics).
