Wild 'Til 9 Podcast

 Hello everyone! My name is Simone Shanks and I am in my third year studying communication studies with the management option. Recently I have found myself really getting into podcasts and now even prefer listening to them over music. So far my favorite type of podcasts are lifestyle ones but I have also been getting into true crime as well which I am glad to see that one or two people have already posted their recommendations on our blog and I can't wait to check them out!

My favorite podcast at the moment is called Wild 'Til 9 which is hosted by YouTuber LaurDIY and her boyfriend Jeremy. I used to watch LaurDIY's youtube videos all the time growing up but then had to take a break a few years ago as I felt like I grew out of her content. Then, a few months ago Youtube recommended her channel to me again and I was pleased to find out that she had rebranded her entire channel to represent a more mature theme and had even started a podcast and now I'm hooked. Lauren and Jeremy discuss relationships, social media, their dog Moose, and much more and always have fun celebrities and influencers as guests on the show. You can listen to the podcast on any big streaming service such as Spotify or Apple Music or they offer a video version of the recording on Youtube to which I have linked here as I prefer to watch the videos when I can. Wild 'Til 9 sparked my love podcasts and for anyone who decides to give it a listen I hope you like it as much as I do!

    My name is Amelia. And I have to say that I totally agree! I love Wild 'Til 9 as well. I'm literally listening to their newest episode about their trip to New York City right now. It is definitely my favourite podcast and has gotten me into more podcasts as a result. I'm so glad you mentioned it because I totally forgot about it when writing my post!

    Hey Simone!
    I enjoyed reading your post for this week. I've tried to get into podcasts for awhile now, with no success. Weirdly, they remind me of listening to lectures. In our generation I'm confident saying that more of us would rather listen to Podcasts/books than read them, why do you think this is? I used to watch LaurDIY on Youtube, and did't know she had a podcast! I may try it out, I'll let you know how I like it.

    Great blog post! I used to be a huge fan of LaurDIY and I still keep up with her to this date! I have seen many clips of her podcast on TikTok and Instagram and they are always so entertaining. But for some reason I can't seem to get into watching/listening to full podcast episodes, I often find that my attention span disappears a few minutes into the show. Maybe I need to give it another go! Any episode recommendations?

    I remember watching her videos too growing up, they were so fun and really geared towards me at the time. I am glad to hear she is still creating content and I love to see that she is very unproblematic unlike many of the YouTube sensations today. I will be sure to check out her podcast, as I am also "wild until 9"

International Podcasts on Youtube

Hello everyone in CS371! My name is Matthew Spina and I would like to focus my first blog post around a podcast I typically watch on Youtube called The Fellas . The U.K based podcast, hosted by Youtuber's Calfreezy and TheBurntChip, has been running for almost a year amassing over 350,000 subscribers. They primarily discuss ongoing pop culture moments happening around the world to their past life experiences while also inviting guest's onto the show to provide deeper insights into their lives.
